1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website or contacting us to enquire about or instruct our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use our website or engage our services.
These terms apply to all visitors to our website and to all clients of Crestmoor. In the event of a conflict between these general terms and the terms of a specific client engagement letter, the engagement letter shall take precedence in relation to the services described therein.
2. Use of Our Website
You may use our website for lawful purposes only and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict or inhibit anyone else's use of the website. You agree not to:
- Use the website in any way that violates applicable Malaysian or international law or regulation
- Transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our website or its related systems
- Introduce any viruses, malicious code, or other harmful material to the website
The information on our website is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. Accessing this website does not create a solicitor-client relationship between you and Crestmoor.
3. Legal Services
Our legal services are provided under the terms of a formal client engagement letter, which will be issued prior to the commencement of any substantive work on your matter. No solicitor-client relationship is formed until both parties have agreed to and executed an engagement letter.
We offer three principal areas of practice:
- Notarial and Conveyancing Services — from MYR 2,000
- Labour Dispute and Industrial Relations — from MYR 2,600
- International Trade and Cross-Border Transactions — from MYR 4,400
Prices indicated are starting figures and may vary based on the complexity and specific requirements of your matter, as set out in your engagement letter.
We are regulated by the Malaysian Bar and conduct our practice in accordance with the Legal Profession Act 1976 and applicable professional rules and ethics.
4. Fees and Payment
Our fees will be set out in your engagement letter and agreed prior to the commencement of work. We may require a retainer or deposit before beginning work on your matter, as specified in the engagement letter.
Invoices are payable within fourteen (14) days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing. We reserve the right to suspend work on a matter where fees remain outstanding and unpaid beyond the agreed terms, after providing you with reasonable notice.
Disbursements incurred on your behalf — such as court filing fees, stamp duty, or third-party professional fees — will be billed separately and are payable in addition to our professional fees.
5. Confidentiality
We maintain the confidentiality of all information provided to us in the course of a client engagement. This obligation is governed by the professional rules of the Malaysian Bar and continues after the conclusion of any matter.
Information submitted through our website contact form will be treated with discretion, though it is important to note that website submissions do not carry the same legal privilege as communications made within a formal solicitor-client engagement.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, design elements, graphics, and the Crestmoor name and logo — is the intellectual property of Crestmoor or its licensors and is protected by applicable Malaysian and international intellectual property law.
You may view and print pages from our website for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, or otherwise use website content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Crestmoor shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on website content, technical errors, or any interruption or unavailability of the website. Our liability to clients in relation to legal services rendered is governed by the terms of the relevant engagement letter and applicable professional indemnity requirements.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites for your reference. These links are provided as a convenience and do not constitute an endorsement of the content or services on those sites. We have no control over third-party websites and accept no responsibility for their content, accuracy, or availability.
9. Termination of Services
Either party may terminate a client engagement in accordance with the terms set out in the applicable engagement letter. We reserve the right to decline to act or to cease acting for a client in circumstances where continuing to do so would conflict with our professional obligations, as permitted by the rules of the Malaysian Bar.
Upon termination, you will be responsible for fees incurred up to the date of termination. We will arrange for the orderly transfer of your matter file upon receipt of any outstanding fees.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions and any dispute arising in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
