Common Questions
Frequently Asked
How do I begin working with Crestmoor?
You are welcome to reach out by telephone or through our contact form. An initial consultation will be arranged at a mutually convenient time, during which we will listen to your matter and discuss the scope of assistance we can provide.
What documents should I bring to my first consultation?
For property matters, please bring identity documents, the relevant sale and purchase agreement, and any correspondence you have received. For employment matters, bring your employment contract, letters of notice, and any written communications with your employer. For commercial matters, relevant contracts, company documents, and any prior correspondence are helpful.
How are your professional fees structured?
Our fees are disclosed clearly at the outset of each engagement. Starting rates are MYR 2,000 for notarial and conveyancing matters, MYR 2,600 for labour and industrial relations, and MYR 4,400 for international trade and cross-border work. Complex or multi-stage matters will be priced accordingly, with full transparency before any work commences.
How long does a conveyancing matter typically take?
Standard residential property transactions in Malaysia ordinarily take between three and four months from the signing of the sale and purchase agreement to completion, subject to the involvement of financial institutions and government authorities. We communicate regularly with all parties throughout the process and keep clients informed of progress.
Do you handle cross-border matters beyond Malaysia?
Yes. For international trade and cross-border transaction matters, we coordinate with correspondent legal professionals in other jurisdictions where required. This enables us to provide clients with connected, well-informed support across multiple legal systems without losing continuity of communication.
Is client information kept in strict confidence?
All information shared with Crestmoor is protected under legal professional privilege and our obligations under the Legal Profession Act 1976. Client confidentiality is a cornerstone of legal practice, and we take it seriously in every aspect of our work.
